Harmonie Alpaca Stud was established by Jane Tyrer, a veterinary surgeon, in early 2005. The alpaca are living on Baviaanskrans Farm in the mountains of the Little Karroo, 200 km NE of Cape Town in RSA. Here the alpacas, together with cattle, sheep, pigs, chickens, dogs and wild life – and Jane and her vet-husband, Ian, live a peaceful idyllic life. The farm is organic and also produces olives and lucerne.
